Costway relocates to port one logistics park

FDS Corporation, the online retailer who operates under the brand name Costway, has leased warehouse space at port one logistics park from the developer Curzon de Vere.

The 20-year deal includes a new distribution facility that totals 143,000 sq ft, and comprises a minimum eaves height of 54ft with space for up to 31,000 pallets.

Situated in Great Blakenham, the “prime location” provides easy access to Junction 52 of the A14.

Chris Moody, director in the business space team at Savills Ipswich, who managed the deal, said: “This latest deal is testament to the park’s credentials as a burgeoning logistics hub.

“The firm will undertake fulfilment across the whole of the UK from port one, reflecting an increasing shift in the distribution model with goods now being stored close to the port of entry.”

FDS, who imports over 2,000 household products through the Port of Felixstowe, called the move an “enormous step forward” for the business.

Sheng Li, UK managing director at the company, said: “We are delighted with this high specification facility, which represents an enormous step forward in the growth and development of FDS in the UK.”
