Hermes Parcelnet, a multinational delivery company, has signed a lease agreement with Oxenwood Real Estate, a UK and European real estate investment management firm, for a Weybridge logistics facility.
Situated at the West Park Industrial Estate, the site comprises 78,650 sq ft of warehouse space, and will serve as Hermes’ main south east depot for parcel deliveries.
The development was acquired from Northamber in June 2019, before now being signed on a 15-year lease at a rent of £15.15 per sq ft by Hermes.
Stewart Little, co-founder at Oxenwood, said: “We look forward to developing the relationship with Hermes.
“The letting to a high-quality delivery company on a long lease immediately after the facility was vacated by the previous tenant justifies our strategy to acquire short-let or vacant buildings in urban markets.”
The deal comes just weeks after Hermes UK announced both the successful completion of an investment deal with the global private equity firm, Advent International, and the hiring of Tony De Nunzio CBE as non-executive director.
