Hermes UK, the delivery company, has appointed Tony De Nunzio CBE as non-executive chairman to its shareholder board.
The appointment follows the successful completion of an investment deal by the global private equity firm, Advent International.
De Nunzio has over 25 years of experience in the European retail and consumer goods industry, including previous roles as chief executive at Asda, non-executive director at Alliance Boots, and chairman at Pets at Home.
Speaking of his appointment, he said: “I am delighted to join Martijn [de Lange] and his team at this exciting time for Hermes UK.
“The company has a strong track record of serving retail clients and their customers and is a market leader in a fast-growing sector. They have a clear and ambitious strategy for growth and I look forward to helping them to achieve it.”
Martijn de Lange, CEO at Hermes UK, added that it will be a “privilege” to work with De Nunzio, who will provide ample “expertise to our growing business”.
