International Forwarding, a third-party logistics provider, has taken over its third storage facility in the Midlands.
A 40,000 sq ft warehouse in Garretts Green, Birmingham, will now run under supervision of the company, offering an additional 6,000 pallets to its storage portfolio.
The facility is already starting to fill with long and short-term goods, both domestic and international.
Rob Pike, managing director at International Forwarding, said: “These are tough times for everyone. But we are very excited to be opening our third warehouse at this strategic site for goods coming into Birmingham or being shipped to Europe.
“It’s a fantastic growth opportunity for the company and will significantly increase our storage capacity.”
The firm, which employs 60 staff, runs a fleet of 20 trucks, and operates a turnover of nearly £10m is eager to aid local companies through its services.
Andy Grubb, sales director at the business, said: “Ultimately this is about delivering high quality, cost-effective supply chain logistics to the marketplace.
“We see this investment as a way to strengthen our service offering, especially to local businesses in Birmingham and the West Midlands who trade with Europe.”
