HSF Logistics has announced it has been acquired by freight shipping network DFDS for an undisclosed sum.
The shareholders of the HSF Logistics Group intend to transfer all companies belonging to the HSF Logistics Group to Copenhagen-based DFDS.
With this transfer of shares, all of the logistics group’s 1,800-plus employees will join DFDS, and all real estate including 750 trucks and 1,500 trailers will be transferred. The acquisition is subject to approval by the European Competition Authority, expected within three months.
In order to secure the long-term future of the company, main shareholders said they felt that now was the time to secure the future of the company with a “long-term owner” who has similar values to HSF.
They believe that DFDS can create the basis for a “stable future” with “excellent opportunities” for further expansion and growth, continuing the high standards and values towards customers and employees.
The group said it expects the acquisition to be approved within three months and that until then, the daily business of HSF Logistics and DFDS remains as is.
Simon Frederiks, Martin Gade Gregersen, Dennis Nijmeijer, Frank Kremer and all management members will remain in active function to prepare for an optimal integration of the two companies.
