St. Modwen Industrial and Logistics, a property investment and development business, has secured planning permission for a development at its Chippenham site, while also announcing a senior appointment.
The Chippenham expansion comprises a 88,790 sq ft unit set to be operational next year with works commencing in February 2021.
It marks the firm’s second phase of development at the 78-acre industrial and logistics site, following the installment of a 106,200 sq ft facility that has now reached practical completion.
Andrew Ridler, partner at Alder King Property Consultants, who is a joint agent for the site alongside DTRE and JLL, said: “St. Modwen Park Chippenham is strategically positioned to provide direct access to the national motorway network, and this new unit will provide a prime opportunity for any leading industrial and logistics business.
“The second phase widens the scope of the scheme and we look forward to welcoming an occupier on board, with interest already high following the successful delivery of phase one.”
Also announced by the company was the appointment of Wayne Porter, a former Prologis executive, as director of customer relationships of experience.
Porter will commence his role in March 2021, where he will contribute to the growing the firm’s committed pipeline to approximately 1.5m sq ft during 2021.
