Whistl Fulfilment, the delivery management company, has acquired 450,000 sq ft of warehouse space to meet its growing demand for its services.
The firm has taken 300,000 extra sq ft at Belkin House, Express Business Park, expanding its existing Rushden capacity.
Also acquired was a 155,000 sq ft purpose-built depot at Moulton Park Industrial Estate in Northampton. The site includes 27 HGVs and contains 15 dock doors with three level access points.
Nick Wells, CEO at Whistl, said: “Through Whistl Fulfilment we are bringing our people, our operational excellence and reputation for first class customer management to medium sized retailers who require an agile and scalable partner who can manage every aspect of the fulfilment process from placing an order to delivery to the consumer.”
The acquisitions are part of Whistle’s wider expansion in fulfilment capacity across the UK, with locations in Farnborough and Gateshead already providing the firm with 250,000 sq ft of logistics space.
The company now works alongside growing online retailers such as Brand Alley, Sports Pursuit, Shark Ninja, and Microscooters, in an effort to capitalise on the fact that 50% of the UK’s annual retail purchases require fulfilment.
Wells added:“ We understand that fulfilment and delivery is part of the brand experience for consumers and everyone within the company is passionate about doing the best we can to ensure that we deliver on the retailers brand promise.”
